In 2026, Altes Postlager in Mainz once again proved itself to be at the forefront of a clear trend: small, specialised trade fair formats are no longer just a trend, but the future of the wine industry. VINVIN – the trade fair for wines of origin – demonstrated precisely that on 25 April.

Over 100 wineries presented their wines in a setting that facilitates genuine conversations between winemakers and trade visitors from the retail, hospitality and media sectors.

This is not about scale, but about relevance: provenance, style and quality become tangible, open to discussion and can be experienced first-hand.

It is precisely this focus that is VINVIN’s strength. New vintages, new estates and new perspectives could be discovered in an atmosphere that encourages exchange and fosters meaningful partnerships. The format clearly demonstrates that the industry is not looking for bigger trade fairs, but better ones.
